A Custom Guitar Should Be More Than a Different Color

A real custom build is not simply a standard guitar painted in another color. Different tunings, string gauges, pickup systems, electronics and playing techniques can require different technical decisions. The nut, setup, fret material, control layout and hardware should work as one complete system. That is why every Makeev custom order is reviewed before production. We do not automatically approve every selected option if the final combination could affect reliability, serviceability or playability.

Engraving and Visual Details

Selected engravings, inlays and personalized visual details may be available by prior agreement. Personalized or engraved instruments are normally non-returnable.

Every Combination Is Technically Possible

The online configurator helps you describe the instrument you want, but it does not automatically guarantee that every selected option can be built together. Pickup dimensions, battery compartments, control layouts, bridge geometry, scale length, string spacing and body thickness can create technical restrictions. After receiving your request, our team will review the complete specification and contact you if any component should be changed.

How the Custom Build Process Works

Select the Easy Fold model that is closest to the instrument you need.

Submit Your Specifications

Tell us your preferred wood, frets, pickups, electronics, materials, finish and other requirements by submitting a configurator form.

Technical Review

Our team checks the compatibility, reliability and production feasibility of the selected options.

Final Quote

You receive the confirmed specification, final price, estimated production time and payment terms in the form of an invoice with 50% prepayment available.

Production

Production begins after the specification is approved and the required 50% deposit has been received.

Setup and Quality Control

The instrument is assembled and professionally set up around the confirmed tuning and string gauge.

Final Payment and Shipping

The remaining balance is paid before shipment. Tracking information is provided after the carrier accepts the package.

Custom Production Time

Custom instruments normally require more production time than standard models. The estimated lead time depends on the platform, selected finish, component availability and current workshop schedule. Highly customized basses, Shark 7 builds and orders above the standard production specification may require approximately 8–11 weeks or longer.

What We Do Not Promise

We do not approve configurations that may reduce the reliability or serviceability of the instrument. We do not guarantee exact visual reproduction of colors shown on digital screens. We do not make unauthorized copies of protected logos or brand-specific designs. We do not promise that every third-party component can be installed. We do not recommend specifications simply because they are more expensive. Our goal is to build a technically coherent instrument.
